recording incoming messages with vgetty

Hello.

I do have some questions about vgetty:

After having received an incoming (voice-) message, the modem returnes
an error.
But the incoming voice file is recorded correctly.

What is this ERROR about ? Should I just ignore it ?


The incoming message is recorded in a low volume, whereas the
beep-beep-beep at the end of the message is rather loud.
In voice.conf there is the variable "receive_gain", which is set at the
"modem default".
Is this the variable for the volume of the recorded message, and how can
I tell what this modem default is ?
