If there is no reaction to pressing D/V, it looks as if the 2864 doesn't
honour it when not in voice mode.

I think Marc can say more about this, but if I remember correctly, it
works only if the modem is in voice mode when you press D/V, and with
everything up to 1.1.15, this can't be done because it breaks RING
detection.   But we want to rewrite that part anyway for 1.1.16.  Stay
tuned.
