OK, I checked the FAQ and searched 1500 mailing list messages in my folders,
and no current statement.

I am forced to find some comment from the authors about its year 2000
capabilities.

*I* know that probably never cares about date except internally (and even
then maybe by accident); but I am forced to ask; maybe this should be on the
FAQ?

Q: Any Y2K problems anicipated?
Q: What reasons for thinking there will be no problems?
