NO FAX WITH ISDN4LINUX YET. In *NO DIRECTION*. Neither sending nor
receiving, nor polling.
If you have a class 2 / class 2.0 fax modem, there is a mechanism in the
fax protocol that the calling machine can ask for a document ("polling"),
and the answering machine can provide one ("polling server"). With the
"-S" option you tell mgetty which documents to send, in case someone calls
and wants to get documents fax polling.
What exactly do you want to know when you ask "how does it work"? Do you
want to know the AT+F... commands to make it work, or do you want to know
how to set up mgetty to do it? Or do you want to know what happens on the
telephone wire? Please be more precise with your questions.
