voice -> data transition

Could you send me a sample script for jumping into a data connection? I used
a DTMF digit as soon as the OGM started playing add it went looking for a
script called dtmf.sh. I found this script in the distribution but it seems
only to allow different voice messages to be play based upon which digit is
pressed. Do I just put in this script to start up mgetty? What do you mean
by matching DTMF/node pair?
Thanks,
Brian
