mgetty with multiple modems

Not that I would understand this... - it *might* be crosstalk on some
wires, but it's certainly a very weird effect.

Could you show an mgetty log of such an event?

Internal modems are a bad idea anyway... (except if they have a separate
reset line as the Comtrol boards have).
