You can make your own null modem cable, or you can go to the local
Radio Shack and get a null modem adapter.  The latter will let you use 
a standard cable.  I do not like to keep null modem cables lying
around because they look like normal cables, but they are wired
different.  You can always use a standard cable and a null modem
adapter, which reduces confusion.  Of course, if it is late at night,
or you are on a desert island, you can always wire up the cable...
