[Calltree]
Yup, somebody pointed me at Calltree yesterday, and it's "along the
lines" indeed... but I want my program to do a couple more things,
especially integrate custom user-defined actions (programmable in
Python).
: Basically a good idea. Don't make it hierarchical only - make it possible
: to return to something ("main menu").
Err yes, of course. Stupid me. :)
: Add checks for "if the caller ID is ... go to node ...".
I'd need somebody else to do this for me. I'm in Germany (as you know
:)), on an analog line, and no known modem supports CLIP, so no
Caller-ID for me. (I'd LOVE this feature!!! I'd LOVE to implement it!!!
Can't anybody tell me there's a modem that supports CLIP??? <whimper>)
: Add time based checks. Add external programs to do checks ("if gert is
: logged in and not idle more than 10 minutes, play different text").
This can be done by user-defined actions, which will be Python proglets.

PS The response to my posting has been quite big... so I now declare my
baby to be born. It's called Amock -- the Answering Machine
O'Construction Kit. :)
