I'm configuring a linux PPP server and I'm having a bit problem
in authenticating with PAP. With shell logins it works fine, but with
AutoPPP it doesn't. I verified with 'w' command that when a user is
trying to login with AutoPPP, the mgetty seems to execute the pppd
command but it hangs up after. In my log files, it shows the users
field like this: users='/AutoPPP/'. I have already installed the PPP in
my kernel. The 'login.config' configuration is:
/AutoPPP/ - a_ppp /usr/sbin/pppd auth login +pap -chap modem
crtscts proxyarp lock

The 'options' file is configured as the following:

asyncmap 0
netmask 255.255.255.224
proxyarp
lock
crtscts
modem

In the options.ttyXX I have configured the IP address and it works when
I logon manually.

           Thanks.
