efax, as per the Red Hat 5.2 rpm seems to work, to my untutored eye, at any rate
with our class 1 modems. Trouble is that I really want to use mgetty+sendfax, cos
it knows about logins, PPP dialup etc, which efax doesn't (this causes a problem
with locking among other things) and the primary job of these modems is dialin.
Yes, I *know* that in hindsight we should have bought class 2 fax modems, but the
fact remains I've got class 1s, and I'd really to like to use them this week, not
next year. If Gert's solution is not going to be around for a week or to, can I
do anything to get efax functioning, and preferably co-existing with mgetty?
