Well, I completely agree with you.
I grab this stuff yesterday an now I have
it working on my ISDN-card, which was a great surprise <smile>
I used Version 0.23 befor. YES, this is the ugly old one,
but a have aplied some patches, to make it worth to use,
and ... uhmm ... I'm one of the authors of PalMail, and
I like this tool which worked great with this patched version - so I
never could switch.
However, this new version, works with PalMail too.
And now I can switch to the new features forever !
Thanx.
I will now will modify PalMail a bit
to make better use of all features.
SO the questions are:
1: How can I record a message with microphone ?
(cat /dev/audio | basictopvf | pvftormd ISDN4Linux 4 > FILENAME)
works - but is it really a good solution ?
2: How to STOP this recording ?
3: Solves HiSax the Problem with the RING-counter
(1-acustic-ring counts 5 ISDN-rings) ?
4: Where I find the ErrorMessages of vgetty printed
in the logfile
(No Answer, Nobody etc.) Did they CHANGED ???
is the format still the same as of Version 0.23 ?
5: HOW can I send a message via ISDN-card, if DTMF-tones
arrive ? vm will NOT do that !
Is there a tool ?
I will still use my own - DTMF-Voice-MailBox, which worked great
with 0.23 and zplay ...
OH - to many questions ?
hope not :)))
