ZyXEL TA128 DTE-2 usage?

I use successfully DTE1 with the TA128, now I try to use the DTE2, but it does not work.

I got a cable with the wires:

25 pin (computer)   9 pin (TA-128)
2		TxD		3
3		RxD		2
4		RTS		7
5		CTS		8
6		DSR		6
7		GND		5
8		DCD		1
20		DTR		4

DTE-1 is connected to ttyR1
DTE-2 is connected to ttyR15

With a terminal program (minicom in Linux) I can use DTE-1.
The terminal program on DTE-2 just brings up the light DTR (DTE-2). Any command, like ATZ, are not 
echoed nor executed. Do I miss something?


Has anybody experience in using BOD (bandwidth on demand)? I don't know, if I need to take care about 
the lock system? If somebody dials in with one channel and use BOD or if somebody dials in with both 
channels.
