is there any good doc's for this? i've looked at the faq, serial how to,
online doc's but i can't seem to find out all i need to know about setting
this up.

i get this error when trying to get it to work 

checking for lockfiles
locking the line
lowering DTR to reset the modem
send: \d\d\d+++\d\d\dAT&FS2=255[0d]
waiting for ``OK'' ** found **
send: ATN3S0=0S13.2=1[0d]
waiting for ``OK''
found action string: ``ERROR''
init chat failed, exiting...: Invalid argument
##### failed in mg_init_data, dev=ttyS0, pid=376

this happens each hour to as it looks at the modem.

the modem is a USR sportster. and linux 2.0.29.

this did work on agetty.
