FreeBSD 2.2.1 /PPP 2.2.0 and mgetty 1.0.0 or 1.1.5: wtmp and connection problems

Hi;

I recently upgraded (well, reinstalled) FreeBSD 2.2.1 and mgetty
1.0.0 (I tried 1.1.5 first, then fell back on 1.0.0 'cause it
was the latest port available, and I thought the problem had
something to do with it).

1. In my wtmp; whenever I give a 'last', there are always 2 entries:
one for the AutoPPP
one for the real user
Now, AutoPPP stays logged in for ever, the real user gets logged out.
Anyone have a clue? Is that FreeBSD behaving wildly?

2. As I said, I tried using 1.1.5 first. Some of my users use auto
logins, (for a uucp over tcp over ppp connection), and suddenly
appeared to have 10 hours of connection during the weekend. I think it
has something to do with a _combination_ of pppd 2.2.0; mgetty and the
new freebsd, but I thought it wouldn't hurt to check it here.

I include some config files for clarity:

login.config:

# login.config

/AutoPPP/  -  autoppp /usr/sbin/pppd auth +pap -chap login
dns1 193.190.166.129 mru 296
gulppp  -  -  /usr/local/sbin/callback -l cuaa3
*   -  -  /usr/bin/login @

mgetty.config:
(I already disabled the Autobaud options myself).

Any ideas?
