*grin* -- good you take it with humor. I sometimes get *so* bored of
asking for the same details over and over that I just can't resist to do
some little flaming...

Anyway, the file in question with all the rules is named "BUGS" and put
prominently in the main mgetty source directory.

Hmmm. Now, this puzzlese me. From grepping through my sources, I found
the very same command, in "mg_m_init.c", and as long as you didn't set the
modem to data-only by means of the "data-only true" keyword (or the "-D"
flag, or the "-C data" flag), mgetty really should set AT+FAA=1 on its
own.

This is one of the reasons I keep asking for the log files - thinks like
"what flags did you pass to mgetty" are obvious from the log files, and
impossible to know without.
