Some small suggestions... To mix mgetty with HylaFAX

I know I might be flamed, but I try...

You know, I use hylafax as a fax server, since it's better refined, 
but I still cannot use its inbound service since I prefer mgetty's
callback, and autoppp. The real problem is that mgetty cannot run using
stdin/stdout connections instead of the real port. 

Now, my question is clear: is there some way to tell mgetty to use its own
standard channels instead of the port? 

Is there any hope to see it running this way in some time?
