How to Print Faxes

I use:

 $ cat <fax-file> g3topbm | pnmtops | lp

to print faxes received by mgetty/vgetty, and the quality is just as
good as the quality I get off a thermal fax machine. Perhaps it is
related to the kind of printer you are using. I use a postscript
laser printer.
