How to remove whitespace from g3 file

hi,

look at frontends/X11/viewfax-2.4/g3hack.c.

(doesn't need X11, is not a frontend either, but was written by the same
author as viewfax, Frank Cringle, and for that reason is shipped in the
same directory)
