Ummm. Weird, the Omni 288S should really be able to do this.

This is weird. It does not even answer to the AT+FCLASS=2 command.
I think you may have a broken modem. Did you try to do this with a
previous firmware level? Does "AT+FCLASS=2" give meaningful results when
typed from a terminal program? You might want to increas the
#define FAX_COMMAND_DELAY 50
in policy.h and recompile.
You might as well try to run it with 38400 or 57600 bps. 115200 is way
faster than necessary, and might cause problems.
