This means "Solaris is broken and doesn't tell you the state of the DSR
line". (Klaus, could you please put this into the mgetty FAQ?)

Dunno. I don't "connect in the V17 mode", I just receive faxes with the
1496 - and it works great, with 9600 and with 14.400 bps.
