Manual answering

Hello all,

I use vgetty+sendfax for months now. It works very well.
Now I sometimes answer the phone by hand and a fax is on
the other side.

I know that I have to type "kill -SIGUSR1 `pidof vgetty`" but
this only works as root. Is there a way to achieve this as a
normal user? suid scripts are forbidden, not?

I think a VERY simple suid C program should suffice but I am
a total C-analphabetic so if somebody please..?
