Auto_PPP and userid

Thanks for the tip Chris, below is the results of installing
ppp-2.3.3-2.i386.rpm:

Logon to shell account execute pppd and userid shows properly.
Logon with mgetty's Auto_PPP and the user gets disconnected with check
password error on the users side.

pap-secrets are removed
