Change in vgetty release policy

Hi all,

to speed up vgetty development, I decided to release new interim
vgetty releases as patches against the latest official mgetty beta
release. This will provide the possibility to have a quite stable
vgetty base in the mgetty betas. New features will first be included
in the patches and when they become stable, I will patch them into
the official mgetty tree. If there is interest, I can create a
mailing list to send out the patches by mail. The patches will be
available from poseidon.thphy.uni-duesseldorf.de via ftp from
/pub/marc/mgetty. I will announce a new patch only on the mgetty list
and not on the mgetty-announce list. New vgetty betas in the official
mgetty tree will of course still be announced in the mgetty-announce
list. I hope this decision will significantly speed up the vgetty
development. Expect the first patch to appear later today...
