MPL patch for 1.8.0

Hi,

I've done port MPL-patch 1.4 to 1.8.0, but I can't test it enough 'cause
the server panicked (I tested it on 1.7.9p2. I think it would go without
problem on 1.8.0 because the network interface of 1.8.0 is same as that of
1.7.9p2's, but it still need test). With some improvements - 1.7.9 style msg
customization, correct :do_out_of_band_command() handling, and some memory-
leak fixes.

Anyone interested?
