process size

        What's an acceptable growth rate for a MOO process?  My MOO, with an
18M database, has grown from 36829 to 38469 in about a day's time.  Is this
unusual?

        In the last run, it went from ~36M to ~64M in less than a week's
time.  How about THAT?  Is THAT unusual?

        The database has been at 18XXXK the whole time.  We're running
1.7.9p2 on a Linux Redhat 3.0.3 P-166 PC w/64M RAM.  Has anyone had process
growth problems that have disappeared after upgrading?
