I was having major problems with compiling under IRIX, too...then I got
the message about it. :-)
If you follow all of the instructions and add the "#define SIG_UNBLOCK
2" statement to the beginning of timers.c, everything works fine (for
me, at least). I'm using the normal SGI C compiler. If you can't get
it to work, I can provide a binary.
