FUP/MPL patches

Hi all ;)

I've recently tried applying MPL1.4 & FUP1.7 to 1.7.9p2 of the server 
code with very little success - the compile succeeds, but when I actually 
restart the MOO it runs up and panics straightaway, with signal 11 
(segment violation?).
I tried 1.8.0a6 as this has the listen builtins, but FUP wont compile 
properly (register_files undefined on the final link).

Has anyone managed this? If so, HOW?!?!?!? ;)
